Reductive Labs began as a consulting organization with a strong commitment to quality professional services. Our services make managing systems with Puppet even easier.
- Training: If you want to get a running start, an on-site bootstrap will get your team up to speed with a working installation and Puppet best practices. Or you can participate in a group training in your region.
- Services: Reductive Labs will work with you to develop solutions for your unique systems. You can use us to model your services, develop custom Puppet providers or audit existing configurations.
- Support: You have questions, we have answers. Puppet has a helpful user community, but sometimes you’re going to need answers faster than the community is able to provide.

Implementation Services

| Basic Automation Audit | $6,995 | Two days of on-site auditing to determine an appropriate model, or evaluate an existing solution for managing your systems and services. This project is a great way to understand what aspects of your systems can be abstracted and modeled by Puppet or other tools and the impact this can have for managing, provisioning and disaster recovery. The audit will prepare you for any server management project and does not have to be Puppet-specific. (As a result of the discovery process the majority of the explicit state of your systems will be represented in Puppet language.) |
| Puppet Bootstrap | $14,995 | Five days of installation, configuration, and training. The fastest way to get up and running. This project will leave you with a functional Puppet installation capable of being deployed network-wide, along with a basic framework for developing your full configuration and the training to enable you to do so. Receive a discount if combined with a Basic Audit. Includes three months of support. |
| Custom Consulting | negotiable | Custom project-based consulting, for help in modeling complicated services or extended help in getting a large network converted over to automated, centralized management. |
Implementation services also bill separately for travel and expenses. (The price can be adjusted to include them as part of a single line-item if desired.)
Training

Note: The Puppet Bootstrap focuses heavily on training, and can be considered five days of hands-on training for your group.
